Sorry only jusy noticed your post.

Basically Flyers are thicker, usually 300gsm so more like a postcard thickness, the extra thickness is ideal for postal drops etc as they go through letterboxes much easier without bending.

Leaflets are usually much thinner, around 130gsm/150gsm/170gsm, these are similar to letterhead thickness at around the 130gsm mark and 170gsm is slightly thicker and more like a take-away menu. As they are thinner they are ideal for hand-outs.

This should be boom time for the trouble shooters such as myself. Actually we always seem to do better in the good times. This seems to be because there is a general reluctance to admit to having difficulties at an early stage and then delaying looking for outside help until administration or similar is the only answer.

If you have responsibility for a business then ask these questions
1 Does the current strategy mean that we survive in good shape if it takes a year for things to get better?
2 Are we making the tough decisions with the current team or are we just hoping for that miracle if only we keep plugging away?

If you have any doubts about your answer then you need to rethink and probably need an outsider to get you back on track. Since agencies cost so much more a direct hire makes more sense. Further a good man will establish whether he can get you a result since our own reputation is on the line.
