I had to chuckle last night when Nick Hewer said on the apprentice – ‘This is Birmingham…not Knightsbridge’ I thought Adrian Chiles might pick up on it but he never did. Nick’s probably out of touch with the cosmopolitan nature of England’s second city - We have flushing toilets and everything these days. As for Adrian Chiles, is he a yam yam, yow yow or wurnit?

Hi Alpha
I know, I used to see you staggering up Market Street on Friday nights;) (Just joking!)
Alveley - very, very nice. I know a couple of people there.
I'm from Kent originally (as if you didnt guess), born and bred there.
I like Kingswinford, but my heart isn't here.
I'm just trying to start up an admin support business, working from home, so I'm glued to my pc at the moment. It's a hard slog!

Well, erm... I feel half and half for West Mids and South West?
We get Birmingham news on TV but Gloucestershire is often classed as South West?
Either way, lived in Lichfield for 10 years and would defo attend a West Mids catch up.

Ex`pat kentish lad, now in staffordshire (just about) in a little village between stafford and newport. Bit of a change from living in the thames gateway to hell..for my sins run a crane hire/lifting services company. Unfortunately a lot of my work is in London.....just reviewing things to get more local work!! One thing that really confused me when i first moved up here....roundabouts are called islands. Genius. Was that to confuse the germans in the second world war in case they invaded?! Oh and the local black country meal - grey peas..........mmmmmm. I used to work in Willenhall, yam allroight bab!!

MoK,
yep still cant do it! And one thing that gets up my nose is tek instead of take....but i must admit it's a damn sight more friendly up here than down south, wouldn't want to be any where else. Went back to Gravesend at the weekend........stabbings, fights galore - poles vs lithuanians, kosvans vs serbs..I make a point of reading the local paper in kent, much more interesting news in there! A vandalised door makes the free papers up here, not half as exciting as 'JCB used to steal cash point!'

I race a BMW M3 and am keen to build some relationships with local companies...maybe even help raise their profile through sponsorship what kind of prices are we talking in the short term?
pmoloney
30th October 2008, 21:46
Hi
There's a sliding scale of discount for sponsoring multiple events, starting from £150 for one event. There's options for sponsoring the bonnet, roof, rear bumper and event the race entry itself for a particular event. If you want to email me (paul at zonemotorsport dot co dot uk) I'll send you the Excel file I have done which shows all the main options, prices and related discounts. Having said that, if you tell me how you'd like to use the sponsorship most and what your budget is, we can probably work something out which maximises the return for you.
Sometimes a sponsor is only really interested in using the sponsoship so that the car is branded up with their logo at an exhibition or similar and they never even attend the races vs others who want to attend the races with guests and see their company name prominently when the car is on circuit. A suitable package can be created depending what you want if the basics don't quite hit the mark!
Cheers
Paul

Just starting out, working from home in Rowley Regis supplying Electrical Appliances. Feel free to drop me a line if anyone needs anything :) I appreciate there are a thousand other people who you could go to, and at the moment I am a little bit me-too until I can get established and launch a proper web site detailing my fantastic USP's! But I have spent 11 years in the industry so I'd like to think my product knowledge and contacts would help me through.
