Hi Guys,

Just wondering if somebody with Paypal experience could help me.....

I've set up a very basic website and need 'buy now' buttons from paypal, I have a paypal account and so went to their button creator page and got the code to add to the page.

Trouble is, this website is for somebody else, so I need to create paypal buttons that point to their paypal account. They obviously cant just hand me their paypal login details and I cant ask them to sort the code themselves, so I need a way of altering my code I got myself from my account. phew!

Anybody have any idea what im jabbering about? Please help!!

Hi Luke,

I may be wrong but as far as i'm aware with doing this a couple of years back you need their username and password to create the button. You may find that adjusting the code results in additional security problems down the line.

Sorry its not a very positive answer.

Yes im afraid there isnt a way I know of to manipulate the code, so either your friend would have to access the code and send it to you or you will need their access details.

I have sent you an email through the forum, if you reply to the address I will send you the code we use.

Cheers
Dave

If it isn't an encrypted form, you should be able to just edit the email address in the PayPal code.

As Paul says.... you just need to substitute your Paypal email address with theirs. Thats it. As long as the button is not encrypted.
