I currently use paypal to process payments but after having so many problems with them I want to see what my options are.

Does anyone know of a service similar to paypal that is reliable and easy to set up and use?

You could try 2Checkout we have had no problems with them yet.

Definitely don't go with Google Checkout - it is awful! As Uk1host says, try out 2checkout

Worldpay is even worse :) They hold onto YOUR money for much longer than other providers. In addition, if there are any problems they stick their heads in the sand. One client of ours had to wait 6 months for Worldpay to give them any of their money to them.

Google checkout is way better than paypal, had so many problems with paypal, and none with Google checkout.

Nochex (http://www.nochex.co.uk/) is a good alternative to PayPal. If you're doing a lot of online credit card transcations, you might look into getting a merchant account and credit card procesing via Streamline (http://www.streamline.com)

Not wishing to pour cold water on the above info but check the date on that articles:

I suspect the info is a tad out of date ;)

I use Google Checkout and prefer it to Paypal as it automatically transfers your money into your bank account and the charges can be off-set against any Adword campaigns that you have. None of my clients have reported any problems either.
