Surely if your losing money you should be dealing with the problem that is losing you money rather than trying to subsidise something running as a loss?

I doubt you could operate so young with premium numbers to be honest, I might be wrong as Im not an expert in this field. They are all a con in my eyes anyway. I had to get rid of a sim card once because of them pesky numbers, it kept bleeding my credit dry.

LOL... Ok... I figure this is either a wind up, sock puppet, etc... but either way a few things here:

- Businesses do not take hours of hard work they take YEARS!
- At 14 the law is not going to allow you to start your own business, you still need your parents to support you on everything from bank accounts on to responsibility for your goods/service, etc...
- Something like the "phone service thing" would require an investment of upwards of a few thousand at bare minimum, which you've already indicated you don't have.

My heartfelt advice would be that you concentrate on the following in order to realise a money rich future:
1. Work hard at school and learn the basics, spelling, grammar, maths, etc... Nobody is going to take you seriously with the gangsta slang.
2. If you're serious about running your own business, look at doing business studies or an accounting GCSE
3. Forget get rich quick schemes.
4. Find something that you can do at your age that allows you to learn just what hard work is... Everyone has to start at the bottom.

Good luck.

Everything takes time, You never start a business expecting it to be an overnight success story, In my case you try and try different ideas and aspects of business until you find the right formula. Ive had more failures than ones that work. But then you stumble across a good idea and it works out for you. Its about keeping at it, just keep going with your head down and you'll be rewarded for it.

As others mentioned, you should solve your current problem rather than focus on other activities.

The world of ring-tones is quite complex, and companies rely on selling large volumes. To give you some idea:

- You need partnerships with content providers, the people who generate the ring-tones. Related to this is the whole issue of copyright and digital rights.

- Those partners need a way to track how many of their ring-tones you sell and to ensure they are paid the correct amount. Different ring-tones cost different amounts. Entire systems exist to do just this part.

- You need a way to bill your customers. And what happens if they claim the ring-tone never arrived or is the wrong one or doesn't play correctly?

- Taxes probably vary from place to place, so you'll need a package to handle this too.

While you may be able to become a reseller for someone in the field, it's largely the domain of big guys - mainly because of the complexity.

Excellent advice, especially about losing the gangsta slang. It may sound a bit 'square' but no business I've ever dealt with would give you 5 seconds if you use slang to communicate with them.
