Hi All

Can anyone recommend a good but not too expensive debt recovery company. The debt I am trying to recover is from an individual and is for £2200.

I have used a company called Cooke & Co in the past - http://www.collectdebt.co.uk/. They have always been pretty good.

why can you not issue a court summons?

You could use Thomas Higgins solicitors to send out your initial letter - i think it costs £2 or £3 for one,you could then contact Direct Route to do the recovery,a lot of courier companys use these 2,Direct Route,in particular,seem to be very effective.
