My daughter has worked part time in a local pub for about 7 months and they are asking her to work Good Friday for the normal rate of pay. She seems to think shes entitled to extra pay for Bank Holidays......is she right? Thank you.

nope, there is no entitlement to extra pay days off in lieu or any such thing, this is purely a contractual matter, so, it depends what is in the contract.

Although she can take the day off for religious observence.
I used in many years ago as a teen to avoid working on sundays:D
Should all be made clear in their employment contract but you can class bank holidays as holiday entitlement or not

I am sorry to say that all pubs contract there staff to work normal trading hours at a flat rate. Normal trading hours include bank holidays christmas and new year. So they only have to pay normal rates most landlords do however give a bonus if you work a holiday but that is upto the indiviual sorry.
