For web sales I want to be able to share who deals with the emails that come in.

I was thinking of just changing the title of each one to include a reference number that showed when the email first came in - who is dealing with it - and ??

A bit like a ticketing system - without being sure if this is true.

Would this cover it all or is it more involved than that.

Might be worth your while taking a look at RT - Request Tracker - here:

You really need a CRM system IMO.

??

Just to handle some emails?

I had always seen crm as more suited for one to one selling arrangements. For example with a group of agents and telephone sales people calling on businesses.

But maybe I am missing a very big trick?

Well we are going on the breif description of the problem given, but a CRM system normally has this fuctionality and more built-in.

You mention web sales, and then sharing the emails. So I assume you have a team of people to share with? Then shouldn't they all use the same emails, same calendar, same documents etc?

I don't know how you mean one-to-one selling arrangement? Its not a "telesales system" if that's what you thought - altho its flexible enough to do this too. Its as the name says a Customer Management System, so can handle email enquires too.

Lol - sometimes we miss the close things. But you coluld be right.

But we do not use this for email at the moment.

Do you know off the top of your head if it can handle IMAP email accounts.

Just got this response from MyOffice.net

"I'm sorry but MyOffice doesn't support IMAP email. We have plans to develop this but it won't be available for at least a year."

So Im afraid your search continues

Not sure what the purpose is for, but have you tried adapting a ticketing system?

My host provides a PHP Ticketing System, to intergrate into any system you like.
