A quick question for the mods - is there a 'Report' button so I can alert you guys when I get spam in my PM box? I can't see one.

I think the only thing you can do is see if they have posted anything and report the post in the report put about the PM, or put the user here and a mod will ban them.

Hi,
I'm afraid there's no report PM button - unfortunately it's not currently an option in the forum software that we use.
If you look on the list of members online on the homepage, moderators are shown in a blue box - just forward the PM to one of those. You can forward it to me for now.
In future, the process we'll have is for members to forward any spam PMs to the Administrator inbox.
Cheers for now,
Darren

Thanks for letting me know. The specific message that prompted me to post here has already been dealt with - the poster has been banned. However, I'll be sure to forward anything else that comes through.

The problem with just forwarding it is that it can take an age to find the member in the members list to ban them.
If you can include a link to their profile (right-click their name, copy URL, paste into PM) then that'd be a great help.
Personally I think it'd be better to paste the link here in Feedback and then report your own post. that way it'll alert all admins. Otherwise you might forward it to a mod that actually went offline a few minites ago.

There is an hack that puts the "Report button" in the upper right corner of a private message.
Just visit vbulletin.org and search for "Report a bad PM".

Thanks for that Jason - we'll look into it, it'll be a nice feature.
Cheers,
