A new membership organisation for managers working in the legal profession across the West Midlands has been launched at a glittering event in Birmingham.

ClearProNet is a networking organisation solely for legal managers, which aims to offer training opportunities, legal updates and the chance to share ideas, along with exclusive member discounts.

It is the brainchild of local business women Helen Greaves, who runs legal training firm Law Train, and Caroline Cash of sales consultancy firm ICE Business Improvements.

The pair realised that managers in the legal field very often work in isolation with no opportunities to network with colleagues.

The inaugural event, held at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre, was sponsored by legal recruitment specialists AM Legal and attended by more than 30 practice managers.

The evening featured keynote speeches from Carol Remy of Hadens Solicitors and author Steven Berry.

Berry has recently published ‘Strategies of the Serengeti’ in which he analyses the animals of the African Serengeti, the world’s best known ecosystem, to learn successful business strategies.

Caroline Cash said: “We are very pleased with the interest shown in ClearProNet. The feedback from those who attended our launch event tells us that an organisation like this has been needed for a long time.”

“We will be holding further events throughout 2008 giving managers plenty of opportunities to join ClearProNet.”
