Hello All. Grateful for some advice.
My ex employer ordered me to take a subcontractor for lunch "somewhere nice" to say thanks for all the business he secured.

I did this, and put it on my credit card. Claimed as per usual on my expenses.

Ex-employer now refusing to pay - no reason given. I know they are in financial trouble, so i need to move fast before they liquidate.

It was a work expense, in work time, and authorised by the chairman. I no longer work thier so have no emails to back up my story, but its genuine - i didnt even know the guy.

Anyone want to represent me legally? If not, i will follow the small claims system, but much rather give someone else on the forum a chance to make a few quid.

Thanks

Unless you flew the guy around the world and wined and dined him in a lot of restaurants, I don't think it's going to be a worthwhile cause to get someone to represent you.

Invoice the company for the debt they have to you. If they don't pay you within 7 days, issue a final demand for payment and note that you will take them through small claims.

You'll get proper legal advice from the legal eagles here soon.. but that's what I'd do.

Hi Carl,
What value of a debt are you talking about?
It may well cost you more in issuing a claim than it is worth.
