Does anyone here know where i can find advice upon selling or transfering limited company assets please?
for example:
I have a car that is registed on the v5 in my own name but is paid for by my ltd company & is almost clear of finance.
The original sales invoice for the car has my own name on it, not that of my company, so is it legally mine personally, or does it really belong to my company.
The finance agreement has my comany name on it, at my home address, & signed as accepted by me personally,so i'm wondering just who has legal ownership.
does it belong to me privately or my 'one man band' limited company?
The reason I ask is that I have a major problem with my wife whom recently left me & wants half of the car, but i'm not sure if it is mine to sell privately or a company asset that is a protected asset that she cant lay claim to.
I really need the car sold (to split the proceeds), or something else actioned if it is an asset that she cant fairly lay claim to.
I just don't know where to start here & im under severe pressure to take action somehow.
thank you
Mark.
