Dear knowledgeable forum people,
this is still very painful & here's my situation:
I formed my 'one man band' limited welding company in 1999, about the same time that I met my wife.
We were married in 2002 & she dumped me & left here last month for the very last & final time,(twice already).
She has taken legal advice & threatened to sieze my bank accounts & strip me of my company assets etc etc & has given me a list of demands that would choke a horse.
I dont have many assets, personal or business, just a £5k car but £80k worth of business tools/vehicle/pc systems etc, & I am still in our council rented home & rented workshop.
I have provided very well for her over the past ten years & she has wanted for nothing, & has already spent the profits that I have worked hard to earn.
I can handle my current company liabilities & new problems & want to continue trading as a welder as I am reasonably successful at it & have a great customer base & broad & established internet presence.
Here's my main question to you all:
What I really really want to do is form a new ltd company that she cannot sieze in any way, nor affect my future earnings or assets from/in it.
So,
do I use my 17 year old son as new ltd company director & myself as secretary & cheque signatory, or do I form a new ltd company & have no role other than employee (on paper anyway, with director & secretary independent of myself).
I have searched everywhere for advice on how to form/start a fresh/new limited company that she can't harm nor affect now or in the future, but cant find it.
I dont want to do anything illegal, I just want to know how to start again next week without the risk of losing everything that I have worked so hard to establish.
I am still trading & working daily, but the thought that she can cause my current company & me big problems, is affecting my health badly & I simply cant continue with this threat hanging over me.
I just want a new company started as soon as possible that is secure for myself & my kids.
Absolutely any help or info whatsoever on how to do this will be very much appreciated.
thank you in advance
regards
Mark.
