The Printed Bag Shop

I need some advise ant thought there is no better place than UKBF to ask for it.

I supplied a large company (50 million turnover) with some luxury printed bags for a fashion show they were attending. The problem is they have now come back to me after the show and said the bags were faulty and the bottoms were falling out of all the bags. They said they had to tape approx 2,500 bags and the other 2,500 bags they have left are the same. So we uplifted the bags that were left and tested them all to find out there was nothing wrong with them. The company is now refusing to pay for the bags yet they have kept none of the faulty bags to return to us. we have said that if they had returned the faulty ones we would have credited them.

Where do i stand?

Craig,

This is simply awful, why is it that companies think they can use their percieved position to throw their collective weight around like this! It makes me mad:mad:

My advise would to seek immiediate legal advise on this - dont let them get away with it chap....I would imagine if they thought the bags faulty then they should have contacted you at the time and allowed you to correct it if it were true - I would say that given the fact they have only made the issue after the effect and now that payment is due makes it seem more than a little shady to me

Good luck with it chap, hope you get the right result - keep us all informed

Craig, is it in your ts and Cs that faults have to be reported within a certain timescale? or maybe on the delivery note? If so I would use that to make them pay up.

What a p#ss take!

Right im off down pc world spending £10,000 on computers then asking for a refund without returning them. Ill just say they are faulty and they will take my word for it. Of course I can't prove it as I've thrown all the broken computers away. What do you think they will tell me? (second word OFF!)
