Hi There

Just finding my feet on here - did a quick search and nothing came back so please do not be too upset if this has already been covered.

Firstly - i am very impressed with the forum - the content is great. To enhance the forum it would be beneficial to me and certainly other users to be able to network with other members.

for example my profile would possibly show -

Retailer
School Uniform
Embroidery
Online Store
Corporate Wear

etc etc

I would love the opportunity to be able to search for other members who might be able to help me out 'SEO Consultants, Printers, Manufacturers etc etc' - maybe even offer a 'discount' through the forum.

Just a thought .....

Kind regards

Nick

Hi Nick

If you look at the top there is a UKBF Business Directory (http://www.ukbusinessforums.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=79) in which you can find people by category. You need to become a full paid member to be include in this - see links in my signature for more information. This would also allow you access to the Private forums and you would be able to put links in your signature.

If you are looking for discounts for forum members or would like to post one yourself, go to the UKBF Offers (http://www.ukbusinessforums.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=53) section.

If you are looking for anything else in particular you can use the search function at the top right of the page.

But thanks for you suggestions - the profile idea is interesting. Is this something others would be interested in?

Let me know if you have any more questions.

cheers,
Paula

I think the profile is a good idea. Everything that helps the member of the forum has got to be a good idea, not least for retention purposes.

Hi

I only registered yesterday but I did think the profile options were minimal and I agree it would be a good idea to have the information readily available on the flip side the best thing about this site is you only need ask once and the advice and help is there.

Business networking is great maybe you could have networking group forums by area giving direct access to business in your own area and maybe I wont have to go to breakfast network groups and that would just be great.

;)
