Have you tried asking Pickaweb support?
Is osCommerce provided as a package by them?

Thats what i thought as with ALL Hosters they make you think your getting this and that and when you pay you notice you need this and that.
So they said this:Hello ,
You need to upgrade your plan to webmaster as there is no database
allowed with standard(starter) plan. You can go through price list at
the following URL :
Thank you anyone who replied and also to pickaweb for a speedy response...:) But:mad: for having to pay another £65

Hi, i can provide you with all the services you are looking for, and we have a simple click-to-install system that automatically installs oscommerce for you with now extra charges whatsoever.
We have an offer on our e-commerce hosting plan currently at £4.99 per month:)
http://www.securinet.co.uk
Thanks, and Kind Regards,
Mike
P.S - Your obviously not restricted to our e-commerce plan to install oscommerce, as the feature is available to install on ALL our hosting plans, starting from £1.95 per month. We would also be able to throw in a free SSL certificate for you on our e-commerce plan :)

Mh1 is right, this thread seems like an opportunity for you to vent your anger at not understanding what you had bought. That might be partly due to your service provider for not making it clear, or it might be entirely your mistake but no reason either way to rant like a 10 year old at other forum members.

It is most certainly not the case with all hosters, and I think thats a particularly unfair comment. My host is excellent and I know exactly what I'm getting there isn't a question of paying more unless its a very specific value added service that I require.
Venting anger about another forum member because you didn't read the information regarding what you were paying for and now have to pay more as a result is not the way to go about resolving things. It should be a lesson to you to ask all the relevant questions prior to purchasing a service ;)
