Although still full on busy, things have slowed down a little bit for me, and I was wondering about how all of you other guys have fared in the world of ecommerce over the Christmas trading period.

I know that the press have hyped up the increase in online trade but would be interested to see how the rest of you have compared against the big boys.

Personally , I am more than happy:D about how things have panned out for me, even if I am going against theoretical predictions. (First year of trade.)

So, how's it been?

Well I'm pretty pleased to have beaten John Lewis, who reported a year on year increase of 65% in online sales for December :)

And yep, January is looking to continue the year on year growth!

Fantastic thanks, January is proving to be a lot busier than I expected too - although I was only selling on ebay last January, I've already had more sales this week than Jan - March last year. The Xmas run up was mental! 42 mountain boards in 8 weeks.
2008 looks set to be a great year, not bad considering the website is only 8 months old.

Lol, sadly we beat them on percentage growth in internet sales not in turnover...so the bus it is :)

Being on both sides of the Internet / High Street fence. High Street has not done too bad considering all the predictions, both in the run up and since New Year. Online however continues to fly. Already offering extra hours to staff over what they did in December and looking at taking on more staff just to cope. Not something I normally associate with January!
