Hi all

I have taken great interest on the various threads on here, and the good work people are doing. I was hoping to add to that with some of the services we offer.

If anyone is wanting to promote their company as an environmentally aware organisation, and wants to potentially save money at the same time (Well, who doesn't?!!) then you might wish to consider introducing an Environmental Management System, certified against ISO 14001:2004, an internationally recognised standard.

ISO 14001 can be a competitive way for you to demonstrate to your customers that environmental matters are of paramount importance to your organisation.
Businesses can also make significant savings by continually challenging what resources they use.

ISO 9000 quality registration has become necessary to do business in many areas of commerce. Similarly, the ISO 14000 management system registration may become the primary requirement for doing business in many regions or industries.

Regardless of the size of organisation, it is possible to introduce this type of management system. We have assessed and certified companies ranging from small, up to global multi-sited operations.

If anyone would like any further information, please feel free to contact me on 01908 509090

I look forward to chatting, working with, and helping anyone I can.

Rob.

Who was it said "An EMS allows you to destroy the environment in a well documented manner"? ;)

A bit harsh, but it gets across the point that EMSs are simply a framework - to go green you'll have to be much more radical...

I'm not sure what you have come across in the past re EMS systems, sounds like they were poor, maybe we can speak and I can give you an overview of what we aim to achieve with our work? Looking at your website it seems our goals are very similar, we both look to save customers money, reduce their environmental impact, its just with ourselves they also receive a certificate, which recognises the effort/work they have put in, and are commited to continuing with.

I am aware there are companies out there, who virtually sell the certificate, which adds absolutely no value to the customer.

I think their are synergies between what we do, particularly since as a certification body we have to remain impartial, and cannot offer consultancy. We have clients who need help to get going, which may be an area we can develop together.
