New podcast brings the best of Devon and Cornwall’s business networking events – in one independent, easy to find place!
If you’re new in business and you need to pinpoint the best business networking opportunities in Devon and Cornwall, then take a look at the G2B@ show at http://good2b.wordpress.com
The G2B@ show is an audio podcast and blog set up by Tavistock-based audio feedback and podcast specialists ‘mu:kaumedia. It’s a weekly 15 minute show that previews the best upcoming regional networking events for the next 10 days as well as offering interviews and features. It invites local businesses to contribute by supplying news of networking groups, events and feedback about issues in the show plus a healthy dose of self-promotion! Best of all, it’s independent, inclusive and free.
The ‘landing page’ for the show is a blog that brings together the best of the established regional networking resources plus show notes for each new show that are full of links for anyone who features or contributes.
“This is the kind of resource that wasn’t there when we started networking” says ‘mu:kaumedia’s Sam Deeks. “It’s hard to believe that until we set this up, there was no place a newcomer to business could see at a glance the whole range of networking resources available to them.”
The podcast features ‘mu:kaumedia partners Clare Winsor and Sam Deeks and is published on Thursdays so that the audience can listen to the show over the next couple of days - then consult the events list in the show notes to plan the coming week’s networking.
Podcasts are still quite new to a lot of people so G2B@ provides all kinds of ways for people to just dive in and get involved - from voicemail lines, to Skype calls, to emails and even instant messaging tools like ‘Meebo’.
“The impact of podcasting is hard to describe” says Sam “but the first time you hear someone in your headphones taking directly to you personally, or you hear your own promotional message playing out to a wider audience - you’ll get an idea of the impact it can have for businesses talking directly to their existing customers and prospects.”
