A word of caution for anyone thinking of importing solar collectors into the UK,

They need to be CE marked and they should also be tested and comply with BS EN12975. Many arnt. There are many available on the UK market that are both approved to these standards yet are still comparable prices.

Also, imnot sure i would want to be installing panels that are branded "wangkang" it could be confused to mean something a little different in the uk! :p

Andysv1k is right, CE and EN12975 is important for UK and european market, but now in china just a few factory have EN12975 Certification. and their price is more expensive than us with same quality. so i think our products is also have advantage. BTW. we have CE and ISO certification now

If they're the same quality then it might be a good idea to get all the certifications in place?

We've been using Thermomax and they are truly one of the most efficient systems. And as far is technology is concerned, I think you tend to get what you pay for.

yeah you are right we are the same quality , evem our quality maybe more high that others.
you know the costs for EN12975 certification is high, now we do not have plan to apply it, maybe we will do it in near future, i know THERMOSMAX , and we are confident our products is as goods as their products.
Best regards

The SolarKeymark (solarkeymark . org) is gradually becoming the standard for all solar thermal collectors within the EU. This certification covers both the EN12975 standard and quality standards (typically ISO9001:2000 or similar).

Manufacturers of the high quality, high performance, premium products such as Thermomax all carry the SolarKeymark certification as standard.

It is also becoming a requirement within many EU countries that the SolarKeymark is required in order to qualify for Government funding / grants for any particular installation.

Installation Considerations.

Those of you thinking of installing a solar water heater will have at an advantage if you have a south-sloping roof. This will make installation easier and your heater will run more efficiently. Most cold-climate families use solar as a three-season system and then fall back on a traditional water heater during the dark winter months.

Before installing a solar water heating system, always look for a qualified installer and dealer who can design and size your backup system. Ask about their certifications, and request referrals from past customers. This will be a fairly expensive job, so you don't want to be shy about insisting upon an experienced installer with positive customer feedback.

The solar water heaters are very popular now all over the world.

There are two typs solar water heater .1,non-pressure solar water heater 2. spit-pressure solar water heater . Genelly speaking, the nonpressure solar water heater is suitable for home , and split system suitable for project like school, hotel and so on.
