Hi I run MoreEco.
MoreEco is the UK's only Eco Shopping Cash Back website.
We list over 100 organic, green and ethical online retailers and have negotiated with them a Cash Back % which is passed on to you.
Once you have chosen your shop, click through, start shopping and in 30 days you will receive % of what you spent in your MoreEco account.
It's simple!

Hi all,
we print and mail things, so we use a fair amount of paper.
To help reduce our impact, we've been running our Toptree initiative (http://www.toptree.com/) for several years, which has allowed us to plant over new 80,000 trees in the UK so far, in collaboration with the Woodland Trust (http://www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/). The idea is that we plant 2 trees for every 1 tree used for our Toptree paper, helping renew the UK's woodlands.
We also have Accreditation/Certification for/from:
ISO14001:2004 Environmental Management (http://blog.cfhdocmail.com/2009/12/docmail-achieves-iso-14001.html)
FSC (http://www.printweek.com/news/832716/CFH-keen-promote-sustainability-green-accreditations/)
PEFC (http://www.printweek.com/news/832716/CFH-keen-promote-sustainability-green-accreditations/)
We're running a Government backed Cycle to Work scheme (http://www.cfh.com/news.aspx?uid=d3d33cd3-33a0-4d73-a875-518333c745a7) to encourage staff to reduce car travel.
Most recently, we've teamed up with a local University in Bristol (University of the West of England) on a project to improve our energy usage (http://www.prlog.org/10446738-cfh-has-the-energy-for-self-sufficiency.html), and through new technology, energy conservation, and on-site generation from renewables, move towards becoming self-sufficient for our energy needs!

Hello there.
Green is a main business in Singapore. My partners and I are strong advocates of Green and Energy Conservation. Among other services, we provide Consultancy services for companies that
wants to be certified as a Green Building. Note: Not refering the the colour. Green Buildings are a valuable asset in Singapore. We believe with the environmental issues getting on, other governments may follow suit, making policies in support of the environment.
wants to reduce energy. We will conduct a survey for the clients to help them achieve savings up to 40%.
Let's share ideas and thoughts. Hopefully we can come up with a green proposal that can motivate corporations to take up green initiative.

Hello All,
I run a worldwide freight forwarding business called Simpex Freight Management Ltd. The impact of freight transport on the planet is obviously massive and so albeit a small company, we do what we can to reduce our impact.
Our flag flying service is called 'Co-Load' which seeks to match urgent transport requirements with vehicles already making a similar journey with space available. This helps to reduce the number of vehicles used and therefore reduces emissions (not to mention the cost saving to the client and extra revenue for the carrier).
Other ways we try to help are listed on our website page under the 'Environment' link. simpexfm[dot]com

Hi All
I run a small company producing food for people with food intolerances based in Yorkshire.
We use biodegradable packaging for all our products and source our ingredients from the Yorkshire area to reduce the amount of food miles we use.

Greetings everyone!
Just about to kick off trading on Monday delivering business post locally and using only bicycles as transportation.
I have given myself a pretty tall order to do this as the area covered is not city urban, but town urban/rural.
The #environmental# aspect is very important to me as part of the core business model.
I'd be a rich man if I was paid for the amount of 'carbon' I will save businesses! ;)
I could not have chosen a better time of the year to start!
Blue skies! (currently)
:)

The Online Print Company (http://www.theonlineprintcompany.com/oxford) understand that many of the items we produce can have a harmful effect on the environment which is why we are currently working towards acquiring the Green Dragon Environmental Standard. We aim to reduce our impact on the environment by implementing this system.
Green Dragon is a documented way of proving that we are abiding by the legislation and that we are controlling our activities to ensure we are protecting the environment.
We started this process back in 2007 and we expect to be fully compliant by early 2010. Currently we have achieved level 2 and are working our way towards level 3.
For more information on Green Dragon you can visit their website www.greendragonems.com (http://www.greendragonems.com/)
In addition to this we are a partner of The Green Earth Appeal (http://www.greenearthappeal.org/?ref=onlineprint) and we offer a large range of recycled products.

this place seems to be full of you guys, almost every single private message i have received is from wikaniko "distributor".
does a wikaniko distributor really class as a business? i'm of the understanding that they simple give someone who is going to buy an item from wikaniko a referall link and do nothing else.

Hi, I'm one of the Wikaniko distributors on this site and want to say that you have picked up totally the wrong impression about Wikaniko. The company offer comprehensive training with added support through its own forum and from head office. Individual distributors work hard at building up their business and it is very much a business and anybody who joins them through a 'referral link' is given as much support as required.

but what do you do? i thought it's just sign others up so you get money from their sales, and get others to buy through the link you provide. :|

I wish .............! That sounds like minimum effort with maximum profit which sadly is not the case. In reality the website accounts for a small amount of my sales. Most of my sales come from promoting the products in my local area - brochures door to door; local markets and fairs; talking to local businesses, schools, organisations etc. All of that requires time and effort as would be expected with any business. Just 'signing up others' does not work on its own either. Its a team effort and part of my role is to help them build their business which can be time consuming depending on previous experience

Hi there,
My site is a portal for UK based Self-Sufficiency, Sustainable, Wildlife, Low Impact and other Green topics. Based purely on my own personal interests, with affiliate links separated so as not to appear too commercial (I hope). Am currently trying to ad blog, but as I'm doing all the designing myself on Incomedia WebSite X5, it's a complete, sometimes frustrating, learning experience. Haven't done enough posts yet to allow me to advertise URLs, so check out my website under my profile contact info.

Hi everyone, I am going to post on behalf of one of our new clients here as they have a really brilliant and innovative advertising medium which is as Green as they come: http://bit.ly/apsmp7.
They run a fleet of unique electric recycling ad vans that allow businesses to advertise in a very eye-catching way and at the same time deliver bluetooth messaging on their rounds.
They plant 500 trees on behalf of all advertisers and also provide a certificate for completion of a carbon neutral recycling campaign displaying the amount recycled and trees planted.
GREEN GREEN GREEN :D Apart from the paper used to print the ads of course, but you can only win by so many goals.

We are trying to do our bit
- Website is hosted by Solar Powered servers (someone ask me what happens at night)
- 80% of our team do not have to travel to work (reducing polution)
- We recycle as much as we can (this is the bit I still need justifying to me)
- We have got rid of our fax machines (fax to email) saves power, trees etc
we probably will do more soon - every journey begins with the first step (into the petrol guzzling ferrari - only joking!)

Hello! We're a pedal-powered courier and postal service based in Norwich, taking van/car/taxi journeys off the road and providing clean, green delivery around the city.
If you're not from these parts, why not see if your city has such a service? cycle-link.com/etc.htm lists some other regional couriers, as does freeindex.co.uk under "cycle couriers" (sorry, I can't post links here!)
Thanks,

Good thread that seems to have lingered!
Does anybody here supply eco packaging for parcels? Boxes; bags, labels, etc?
Our customers can carbon offset their deliveries, which usually costs only a matter of pence. The extra pence they donate goes to OxTreeGen who plant trees on our behalf. Since May last year we've already planted 73 trees (that's £730 raised) :o)

If there is anybody who supplies eco packaging to compliment our Green initiative please contact me on nat@p4d.co.uk.
Thanks!
