With many of the e-comms/merchant suppliers being forced to use the VBV system something you guys should consider.

One of my customers wanted to upgrade their merchant sys to integrate the VBV system which was very easy to do with the merchant account they had.

However one of the concerns my customer has is with the VBV support.
Not sure if you guys are aware but the support for VBV is 9-5/Mon-Fri which is pretty pathetic for any e-comms site!!!

So the issue is that a customer wants to buy from a site, they checkout and then are prompted to sign up to VBV (if they haven't already). If signup is unsuccessfull the support number screen pops but out of hours they cannot get any help!

Its just something to be aware of and there are instances with one of my customers where users have emailed them to tell them they couldn't sign up with VBV and went to a different site!

The trade off is that the bank will levvy an increased charge for processing non VBV txns.

It is compulsory to use the 3d secure as of july from a merchants perspective but it is options for card holders to sign up to it. They are not heavily enforcing the rules as of yet but it is part of the scheme rules (not a read I would recommend unless you have already lost the will to live)
