Hi again everyone!

I probably haven't named this the best thread but i am eager to start getting answers for this question! And please ignore the grammar, just read it back while trying to make dinner at the same time. So i aplogise in advance! :) I am looking into starting my own e-commerce business (possibly dropshipping) but nothing is set in stone yet. I plan to start small and also start from home.

Obviously i am going to have my stock and website costs. However, i am just looking into what other costs do start-ups face? For example, legal? or registering with different authorites?

Please get back to me with any enlightment and i look forward to your trustworthy replies!

Thanks!
Darren

Registering a Ltd company (if you go that route)
Registering with the Information Commission (for processing customer data/records) £35 a year
Set up costs for Payment Service Provider - dependent upon who you use can be £0-250
Business insurance
Logo design
Pay per click advertising
Obviously there are the day to day costs, telecomms, broadband, heating, lighting, stationery

Hi Boho!

Thanks for your reply, you've helped me in the past with the recommendation of internet-retailer, i havent signed up yet but thats my choice at present. Do you know much about dropshipping? Thats one of the routes im going to be looking into i think. Having limited capital for stock it would mean that i wouldn't have to buy it out right.
