Hi Guys,

Sorry if I am posting this and it is similar to my other thread but i am just wondering why no one is using this comany or as i have discovered from my research a few of you haven't even heard of them.

Have a glance at the shoptistic website and have a look what they offer. The website looks professional and the back system they have seems to be quite good (see demo).

I am considering this for my future sporting goods business but obviously don't want to take the jump and the commitment with this provider/host if they are going to fail me.

Obviously the launch is so important and I can't afford to be let down. Any views on the set up/appearance and quality of this service? Also if you know any that are better please advice.

Thanks guys, i know you will have honest opnions.

Darren

To be honest it seems targeted at the US market, the payment gateways worry me - where are the worldpay/secpay/protx?
I'm with do your own site and I can't recommend them highly enough.
They have a special offer on at the moment of £5 a month - which is unbeatable (I pay £17 per month). The only thing that you can't do (yet) is generate invoices from the site as there is no order admin facility.
However I will try and sweet talk Simon, the tech director into creating something for this.
He has already created banded postage rates for me and the site builder is getting new features virtually every month.
Take a look and see what you think.

looks like an oscommerce reseller to me, but it does come across as very much aimed at the US market, it's not really my cup of tea, very busy style of template and I'm not keen on the admin having had a play with the demo store.

I prefer a clean style store, busy stores tend to be off putting to visitors and make them hard to navigate.

The website didn't have my crying out to part with my money I have to say - apologies shoptastic as I know they're part of this forum.

Have you taken a look at www.internetretailer.biz (http://www.internetretailer.biz)? they're on the ukbf forum too, go by name of quikshop, there is an offer on for forum members as well, £30 off the set up fee. I've been really happy with the service I've received to date.

I was with easywebstore but now with Pace retail. They're only new but they've done a great job and I'm getting a lot more conversions. They're very quick at fixing things and trying to accommodate what you want. I asked them tons of questions before signing up with them. With over 900 products to import, I had to make the right decision. They use zencart.
