Free Web Training for Glasgow Businesses

Glasgow City Council has agreed to fund an innovative web training pilot allowing eligible organisations the opportunity to attend for free.

Over 2 half-day sessions participants will gain an understanding (and first-hand experience) of the steps involved in planning and implementing a new website, learning how to write effective webpages, source quality stock images, get to grips with the basics of how search engines work, and understand the importance of web accessibility and good design.

Run by Hillington-based Web Development and Consultancy firm NSDesign, participants will leave with a fully working, professional, accessible website, built using their acclaimed NSBuilder system.

Gary Ennis, Director of NSDesign says “From experience, we know that most small businesses do not have a large budget for their website development, let alone the expertise to keep it up to date with relevant content. NSBuilder puts the control of the site back into the hands of the business, allowing them to make the changes and updates without having to rely on or pay further fees to a web designer”.

The training pilot will take place on the 19th and 26th June, and interested companies are encouraged to book early to ensure a place. Further courses will follow later in the year. Cheers Earl...

We put this training together having seen so many businesses that have a website which is doing absolutely nothing for them, and they themselves don't know enough of the basics to change it.

The fact that Glasgow council agreed to fund the training for them is just a bonus!! :)
