View Full Version : In need of an online shop
Hello!
I'm helping a family member set up an online shop selling a few handmade items. Just about 30 at a time.
We've just had OScommerce uploaded but it seems a bit too 'public' and too advanced for what we need.
We have no programming knowledge, so programming our own shopping cart is out of the question- and funds are extremely, extremely tight.
We just need a simple web based shopping cart system that's easy to use, easy to customize, and doesn't cost a bomb! Just accepting Paypal will be fine!
Any ideas?
Thanks a lot.

It would be worth your while looking at http://www.cubecart.com/site/home/ . Cubecart is simple to install, better looking than osc and has a large user community that are always willing to help you customise it to suit your needs...

Cant believe nobody has suggested the best one of them all: oscommerce (http://hostkb.com/scripts/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=18&Itemid=27)!
Most hosts will have an installer for such scripts, particuarly that one. I know H9 (http://www.hostkb.com/scripts/redirect/web_hosting.html) does!! Because I use them, and they are amazing for their Shared Hosting!

Hi
Have you looked at our online store? It links direct into our accounts software, so it makes life so much easier. You can use PayPal as the payments provider. And we are offering 10% to UKBF members at the moment. The website is http://www.tallia.co.uk

Oscommerce is very public, but for very good reason, it's pretty fantastic considering it's free. And you can add in a wealth of payment gateways.
At EBS we can provide custom/skinned oscommerce solutions at affordable rates. We can even set it up for either of a server of ours or one of your choice and build in the payments gateways you require.
