Weddings in Spain made easy
Many love-struck couples are using their head not their heart when planning the big day. With the average wedding bill in the UK and Ireland totalling a staggering £17,500 it’s easy to see why going abroad (at two thirds of the cost or even less) is appealing.
Spain is rapidly becoming a wedding hotspot, with many Brits opting for a stylish celebration on the Costas instead of run-of-the-mill nuptials in their native homeland. That sun-drenched Mediterranean climate and budget airline travel are also key deciding factors.
To help make the bride’s life easier the first ever directory of English speaking wedding service providers based here in Spain, has been introduced. The Wedding Guide Espana, provides a handy on-line, national database of suppliers for busy brides-to-be, all conveniently listed by region. You can also register for a monthly e-newsletter packed full of useful advice, ideas and guidance. If you can’t find what you’re looking for the team will even carry out a dedicated supplier search on your behalf.
As well as the website, local ‘Wedding & Guest Guides’ will be produced serving as a valuable reference book for the entire bridal party, many of whom may incorporate a holiday around the event. These printed directories are complimentary and available from local wedding suppliers or by request via the website. The South Costa Blanca Wedding and Guest Guide is available now.
Founder and creator Angel Neal used her international wedding industry experience when setting up The Wedding Guide Espana. Having worked extensively in the USA, UK and Spain over the past six years Angel understands the difficulties in finding the right suppliers, especially when there is a language barrier.
“Spain is such a beautiful place to have a wedding” Angel commented, “By creating a central resource for brides that makes planning easier I hope it will encourage even more couples to come here to celebrate their union.”
