What are you looking to host and what are your requirements?

Unitedhosting.co.uk - its servers are rock solid and its customer support is incredibly responsive 24/7/365 (it has technicians based around the world to deal with issues around the clock).
It is also about to implement a Mailfoundry installation. I was one of the test users and it is incredible at stopping spam.
All in all, can't fault them and they don't cost the earth.

If you dont have a .co.uk address (e.g. if you have .com) and you are targeting the UK audience, then make sure your hosting provider hosts your site in the UK, otherwise you will not appear in google 'pages from the UK' searches. I think IX Hosting are US-based.

And just to clarify, United Hosting has a shiny new UK datacentre set-up as well as US servers (although I don't know if they're continuing the US ones).
