I am after some advice please guys + gals.

At present I have 2 websites, identical in design, however, keywords, branding and the domain names are different. They are both hosted on the same server.

Basically I get enquiries from both, Stationery-Direct is the more popular although this has been online longer, however, the other PromotionalPrint is my preferred business name. There are a number of problems running 2 websites: replying to customers in the wrong business name, updating 2 sites etc etc, I am also concerned as to whether 2 identically designed sites may have a negative effect with regards to my Search Engine positioning?? or do you think that because the keywords and other bits and bobs are slightly different that they will be classed as 2 different businesses by google and the like.

I prefer the promotional print name as I find that this is easier for people to remember, I am concerned that the hyphen in the stationery direct may be losing me business as if somebody misses it out then it goes to a different website.

I am struggling to decide what to do, I feel that both names are good in there own way, for example we provide printed "stationery" and we provide "promotional print".

The majority of my business comes from online sales so any drastic measures may have a negative impact on my business.

I was also thinking of getting the Stationery-Direct website Keyword rich for printed stationery (letterheads, business cards, comp slips) and the other for promotional items such as (mousemats, flyers etc etc).

So the question is this, should I dump the one and just re-direct it to the promotional print domain and concentrate on SEO for this or, spend time and money on SEO for both and try and get each one listed highly for their specific keywords.

I am losing sleep over this dilemma and just cannot make a final decision, any advice recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Damon

I would keep them both.

Just change one of them a little to aviod Google penalizing you for duplicate content.

If you have both sites you have more chance of getting the business if they are SEOd for different keywords.
