Hi everybody! :)

I`m new one here.
Could you guys give me a hint?
Several months ago we create a Shop on Yahoo!Store platform (scanbechshop.com) but made a mistake cos they only work with dollars but we`re Eroupean company and wants make transactions in Euros... So now i`m trying to find something like Yahoo (or may be even better :D) but with support of Euro payments.

What you can say about Lycos eShop platform?

Hi

Try the 1&1 webshop: http://1and1.startupsuppliers.co.uk

They have a range of webshops and I believe they handle multiple currencies. Prices are very good too!

You could purchase some web hosting and use something like:

ZenCart: http://www.zencart.com/
OScommerce: http://www.oscommerce.com/

Hi Ole Solo,

you can set up a store on ebay, and use paypal as payment gateway. Paypal can accept many currencies, including Euro.

to Alex_murray:

Try to look scanbechshop.com (Yahoo!Store)
We`re selling plastic packages(bottles, caps and etc.) with boxes(!)
so we need platform with inventory, orders, customers profiles...

ANybody using Lycos or MonsterCommerce???? :|:D

Ole

Yahoo!Store allows you using a Paypal account, a merchant account, or both to process your payments. And Paypal can accept Euro.

Yeah i know.
but Yahoo using FDMS so credit cards online payments supports only US dollars. And our company looking for a Euro payments, no PayPal just credit cards payments.

I just thought to tell you my story about Lycos Eshop.
In the beginning I thought it was good, I actually recommended to a client of mine as a good solution, hassle free.Couple of months later I bough one for my wife's business. And the trouble started. In the beginning I thought I had forgotten my password. I was putting my user name and my email but it was keep coming as a wrong user. Then after 20 days finally it started to recognize my email but no password was coming in my inbox. Still logged out of the control panel for 2 months I called Lycos because they didn't responded to any email I had sent them. The line is premium rate at 10p a minute. I thought that is for business purposes and I'll get my money back after the huge Internet orders I will have with this shop. On the phone the guy although teckie, didn't have any manners and he was speaking to me preoccupied that I am another useless customer that didn't know my email address and he was trying to convince me that I typed it wrong twice, therefore I logged out for life, even if I am paying 250 pounds a year for the shop. Apparently Lycos is renting the engine called Eshop by another company and they can't help you at all. Anyway, to cut the long story short he said he will sort it out. I am on the 8th month of this deal and the emails that this Eshop sends me with the password reminder, log me in as customer but not in the Control Panel.
I have given up on them. I am waiting for the contract to run out and I have concentrated my efforts in the open source software called OS-Commerse. I admit that is difficult but it is very straight forward once you get your head around it. There is a huge community of people supporting it and there are also some excellent books to guide you step by step.

Thanks for reading

Zeuscart, I must agree, is one of the best free e-commerce tools with very good modules that can be added for almost anything you require. Besides, I can recommend you trying Product Catalog Builder on productcatalogbuilder dot com. With its help you can create your own electronic catalog, which is very convenient.
