I attempted a meet-up of UKBFers in the South East after Ozzys succesful event in Milton Keynes.
There was a fair amount of interest, but only one of you (Jorge at Saldago Investigations) turned up.
My next bi-monthly event (see www.trustnetworkers.com (http://www.trustnetworkers.com) for info about the background of the events) is on 12th October.
A couple of newer UKBF members are coming along as well as Emily (Write My Site) and the infamous Andy Barr (10 Yetis).
So if any more of you want to come along and put faces to names, you're more than welcome. You can read full details and book online here (http://www.trustnetworkers.com/upcomingevents.asp).
As well as tasty free food and informal networking, there are also two talks - one on Doing Your Own PR and another entitled "How To Deal With Your Bank In Times Of Financial Difficulty". (It was initially called "Dealing with Bankruptcy" but we needed some spin.) The speaker doing the PR talk is exceptionally good - and she's from the corporate world so she's not there to tout for your business
Then it's off to the pub where it's been suggested that Andy may be doing lap dances in return for white wine spritzers.
Don't worry about others from here not turning up - as well as anyone from here that does make it, there is also a friendly crowd of regulars who are not members of UKBF.
If you're new to networking events and you're not comfortable just walking up to people, come and find me and I'll introduce you to a few people.
