Launching in the states

Hello,

I am currently doing pretty well selling a particular product in the UK on a dedicated website.

I am told by the manufacturer that there is significant demand for this product in the states, but that availability over there is limited. They think I should launch another version of the site in the US.

Does anyone have any experience of trading in the US? Anything I should be aware of? Any advice very well received!
