View Full Version : Fair charge for editing directory?

When people submit to my directory they receive a password, username and
can edit their details at any time.
Despite this I still get numerous requests by people wanting to make changes but who have forgotten their log in details.
I know I have a legal obligation to keep the information accurate and up to date, but intend offering anyone who wants to make any changes a choice from now on;

I delete their details completely
They pay a small fee to have them edited

Is this reasonable and what would be a fair price to charge for this?

TIA.

I think that's reasonable. Do you have a method for them to reset their passwords?

I think whatever you charge, a lot of people will just go with the delete option.

Seems reasonable, particularly if they can't even remember the email address they signed up with!

Yes, they can have their password and userame automaticaly emailed to them, but a lot forget the email address they used when signing up as well as their password and user name.

A small inclusion fee for everyone would be better IMO
