My shopping cart has let me down once to often:mad: .
I need a shopping cart with the following criteria :-
Easy to use and compatible with Dreamweaver.
Sends confirmation emails to buyer AND seller.
Customisible ( able to offer discounts etc)
Accepts most popular web payments ie. paypal
I only have a small budget so unfortunately ACTINIC is out of the question, ( but looks too confusing anyway!)
Any advice appreciated,
Thanks in advance,
Helena xx

Hi Helena,
I spent along time downloading trial versions, free versions, etc. before choosing Shop Factory...its a breeze! check out batteryplanet.co.uk (including the www)...
Features...!
Multicurrency
Multilingual
Themes for shop (layouts, colours, graphics, etc)
Themes for menus (std, drop down, pop out, etc)
Multiple layouts (menus left, right, etc)
Products are stored in an access database, so you can create in the software or access, whichever you prefer.
Upload products from Excel spreadsheet into shopfactory
Credit Card processing built in (free via PGP or purchased via car processors)
It really is a breeze...! Our current site has about 200+ products, our new site for electronic components componentplanet.co.uk (including the www) has over 2000 products...with images, weight (for postage calcs), price in base currency (automatically calculated in other currencies), etc. etc.
Cheers

It really depends on your budget aswell. If you have the £250+ to soend in one go then ShopFactory is one to look at.; If you are looking to pay monthly then it's not an option with ShopFactory.

I loved Shop Factory ... the staff swore that it would take secure payments via the HSBC but when it came to the crunch it didn't.
I really liked the Shop Factory features so I was gutted.
They have just started integrating with HSBC so if you want to use Paypal don't let this put you off ... the tech support is a hidden cost though. You get a month free to start with but the price of help is massive after that.
In the end I built the site myself using Dreamweaver and used Roman Cart.

Hi Girlw0nder.
Depends how small your budget is but you might like to check out the solution we use eCom-Shops - can't post the link here but you can find details on the Namesco website by clicking on the 'other services' link on the left
