Trouble is your home page doesn't tell me much about what products you stock or even that you are an online shop (without reading all the text).

If you check out almost every large online retailer the first thing you see are products. Try Amazon, Woolworths, WH Smiths etc...

I also clicked on the 'our Shop' link and noticed you also have no image of the Wheelybug Ladybird. The image here helps the visitor decide whether they want to know more about thing the product or not.

There's also nothing immediately visable (which should be shown on at least the Shopping Cart page) as to how I pay you. PayPal, WorldPay, Cheque ....? The types of payment methods provided ultimately make a different to me as to whether I make a purchase or not.

Doesnt seem too bad to me.

Few tiny suggestions:

Contact Us - rather than have a @btinternet.com use a proper domain email address i.e. contact@hedgehogtoys.co.uk looks so much better IMO.

Terms & Conditions - reduce the text size so its the sam as all the other pages.

Payment Information - perhaps add the Nochex logo / credit & debit card logos to the footer of each page?

I think it would be a good idea to make the images at the bottom of the home page links through to the relevant products - I automatically clicked on them and nothing happened! I suspect other people will be doing this too...

I agree with Dan, the products you now show are good but they have to be an active link to those categories. You need to hand hold a visitor through the site with not only text links but also image links too.

Also I would swap the 'Hornby, Hippy Chick and Lanka Kode' images with these new category images. I feel having these immediately in the visitors eye will have more benefits than naming manufacturers of the products you sell.
