Attention Entrepreneurs, Innovators and Engineers!
The Cleantech Open, the world’s largest Clean Technology Competition, arrives in the UK for 2011.
The competitions seek out the best ideas, products, services and technologies that address today’s most pressing energy, environmental and economic challenges with a top global prize of $100,000.
All entries are due by October 3rd 12-noon deadline.

On September 26th, a Business Clinic will be hosted in advance of the entry deadline where contestants will receive advice and assistance with core sections of their investor pitches from subject matter experts.
On 10th October, judging will take place for the Ideas competition and the winner announced at a UK final in London.
On 15-16th November, the Ideas winner from the UK will go head to head with winners from each participating country at a spectacular Awards Gala in San Francisco, pitching in front of 2,500 cleantech investors, experts, media and academia.
The categories for the competition are:
• Air, Water & Waste
• Energy Efficiency
• Green Building
• Renewable Energy
• Smart Power, Green Grid & Energy Storage
• Transportation
Since 2006, 473 alumni companies have raised more than $300 million in external funding and have created over 2,500 new jobs.
