Hi
Is it possible to convert the credit you have on your phone into cash? I know Paypal have set up this pay by mobile service but I think this still comes out of your account.
I have a colleague who has quite a lot of credit on his pay as you go phone but has now been given a contract phone. He wants to cash in the credit. Does the paypal system let you do this or is there anyone else tha can do it?
Thanks
Dave

A year or two since I sold out of the comms game, but unless things have changed...no.
O2 did for a very short while allow customers to offset pre-pay credit against their first months contract, but it was short lived. To my knowledge it was not repeated by other networks.
If you did not port your number from pre-pay to contract, and your pre-pay sim is still active, your best chance of recouping any credit from it (if it still active) is to sell your sim with the remaining credit.
Hope that helps.

Have you tried calling your mobile phone provider to ask them what the options are?

You can set up an account with these people and then send a text which will decduct upto £10 from your Credit, However they keep a percentage and at best you'll get about just over £6 from that £10
