You could right recommendations on my new website... and possibly win yourself £50 towards a meal out once a month... at least we'd know you were well fed every so often!
Can you take the best bits from the other business/other jobs you've done and mould them into a new one?
Or think about this: what everyone wants, is a window cleaner, a gardener, and someone to iron for them. They're willing to pay a fortune because they're lazy. I've a friend who is a window cleaner, and another who is a gardener. I can't earn literally half what they earn being a full-time junior teacher and part-time self-employed!

Something new in this country, brought over from America, funeral planning (http://www.nytimes.com/2006/07/20/fashion/20funeral.html?hp&ex=1153368000&en=b584f10c14350e59&ei=5094&partner=homepage) including videocasts and podcasts.
;)
I had thought of that Sharon, would have to be a gardener by me because there are more window cleaners than i can count. Im good with computers and could go teaching people in their home its just knowing how to set it all up and start.
Funeral planning sounds great i would love to do it, not because people are dead but because i love organising things. However i should have mentioned that something part time is basically what i need and as people won't be passing away at a time to suit i doubt i could do it. LOL Thanks though

This is not a business idea, rather something that I read (http://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_blog/2005/04/whats_the_alway.html) by Seth Godin (http://sethgodin.typepad.com/)that got me thinking: Create a Purple Cow.
A Purple Cow is remarkable in that on seeing it, people will remark about it - they will tell others, causing the idea to propagate via word of mouth. I am trying this approach with my current venture, Bouldr; a service that will soon be remarkable among the climbing community (I hope).
All I am trying to say is maybe thinking along the lines of building a remarkable product or service might jog your synapses somewhat - It did with me!
Good luck!

I actually went as a job as a funeral planner with the Co-op and it is somehting you can do part time if you don't mind becoming an employee again. The pay rates weren't great though.
I was also a Funeral Director for one day. Yes only one day :) They do a wonderful job but it wasn't for me.

Jay, see a need, fill a need.
Get yourself some hobbies or talk to business people and see if there is an unfulfilled niche out there.
There is still room on the net for people who can do a website properly.
