Business Growth Assistance in Caerphilly Area

Long shot this one, about 7 years ago I had meeting with a business development/assistance etc group who I really gelled with but my then business didnt meet their criteria £1m+ t/o within 12 months .

Now Ive seen other groups and well the help/ advice training etc has IMO been rather low level and obvious and looking around there doesnt seem to be much good stuff out there (some of their webpages dont even load and some that do are still dated 2009!) .

so was wondering whether anyone might know of the name of this group I met with 7 years ago, of course I no longer have their details having gone with Venture Wales at the time, but would love it if I could find them again (thats if theyre still going ) anyone here know of a group based in the valleys around Caerphilly to Bargoed area as Im sure thats where they were from, and the guy/s I met were really switched on and as I say the qualifying criteria was high growth , thanks for any pointers /ideas

not sure where they were based as we met at a neutral place , what do you mean 'has been passed' as in attained? you mean?

Thanks for the feedback , I may have got their details through Venture Wales, I went with VW after not being able to use these people but think I was put onto them by some advice place originally .

We now have convergence funding.

All finance runs through there (well what you are looking for anyhow) There is SIF & LIF but not sure that would be enough.

good luck with that one, been with them all, even VW, and all their after is to keep themselves in jobs by giving you the runaround to get their funding coming in.Been to these so called meet the buyer events, havent met one business who has been to one get any yet.

My business is based in the Caerphilly area. We have had quite a lot of assistance with advice and financially over the years.

We belong to Caerphilly business forum amongst others, they have always been most helpful.

Things have changed a lot over the years, certainly over the last seven so the group you're referring to may have transformed into something else or not even exist now.

Do you have any names you can remember? We've been in existence since 1989 so have quite a bit of local knowledge.
