Hi all, just a quick post. I am involved with a non-league football club Wivenhoe Town F.C. (based near Colchester, Essex) who play in the Ridgeons Premier Division, level 9 of the football league pyramid.

We have a charity football match coming up against Arsenal ex-pro and celebrity side.

We are offering companies the opportunity to display a 6x2ft pitchside banner on our perimeter wall for just £50 (purchaser provides the banner).

As a bonus, we will continue to display the banner throughout the 2011/12 season at no extra cost and throw in a free season ticket.

We will also include your details on our website found by typing wivenhoe town into google.

Thsi we feel is a great way for companies to support community and charity efforts whilst raising peoples awareness of your name.

Its a great price too as many clubs at our level charge 3 or 4 times if not more.

Basically we are rebuilding the club from all perspectives and after 2 years efforts currently have a major investor on board and a charity who will be using our facilities throughout the week. There are many plans in the pipeline to improve our Broad Lane Stadium and Clubhouse and a host of these are being implemented as i type this.

One major area we are looking to improve is sponsorship. We will have several thousand DIFFERENT faces visit our Broad Lane Stadium over the course of a year and as things continue to grow, this figure will become every month!

Its an exciting club to be involved with and we would do our upmost to support every company that comes on board by spreading their name as much as we can.

If this may be of interest please do not hesitate to contact me via a private message on leave your details and i will contact you.

Thanks for taking your time to read this post. Hopefully this was ok to do so on this site.

Many thanks
Jon

Hi there, many thanks for your response. I have unfortunately made a boob by posting this thread which turns out to be outside of the rules of the forum - should have read them prior to posting!

I have asked for this thread to be moved to the appropriate section, such as the sponsorship/ fundraise section, otherwise i expect it to be removed.

If you are interested in hearing further details of this opportunity please do not hesitate to contact me via the email address below or visit our online home found via inputting wivenhoe town in google and on this website you will find my contact details. Alternatively you can private message me.

As advised, we are a semi-proffessional football club based outside colchester. We have a charity game coming up against arsenal ex-pros and celebrity side on July 3rd 2011.

A little about ourselves;
Back in October 2008 the club was on the verge of closure due to past mis-management, with bills not being met and player wages at ridiculous costs that were also not being met.

Following a chat with the club chairman, two supporters got together and held a save wivenhoe town open house which was attended by just under 100 local faces from the community. It was a great success and through this the club formed a new committee with all previous committee members/ chairman etc gradually walked away from the mess they had created.

The new team faced a huge battle to keep the club in existence by through shear hard work and many fundraising events we have turned the corner and are not only solvent but have a huge investor on board (though they wish to remain anonymous.).

We have a charity which deals with children with nuerological disorders on board who will be using our facilities throughout the week and we are therefor carrying out refurbishment works to the clubhouse and standium - with plans for a total overhall of the clubhouse over the next year or two, and an all weather spots surface set to be installed over the next 8 months.

On the field of play after a couple of difficult seasons (which we thank ex-west ham utd star Julian Dicks for moving over from Spain to manage our first team for 6 months to help keep the club in existance) we now find ourselves with a solid youth set-up and a first team able to compete at the level we find ourselves at.

As of next season we will be sporting the Charities logo on the back of the first team shirts, something that very few other clubs in the world do.

We are a growing club and huge and realistic ambitions and its an exciting place to be involved with.

As stated within the thread, we do want to see more companies come on board by supporting us, whether it be by purchasing a pitch side banner or even taking on the opportunity of sponsoring the first team kit.

The banners are size 6 x 2ft and would be displayed on our pitch perimeter wall at a cost of £50. We are not VAT registered so this does not apply to the cost. The purchaser would provide the banner at their cost, so to meet their specific specification. The banner would be displayed for our up and coming charity match and we would provide you with two adult tickets to the game. Not only this but we will continue to display the banner throughout the up and coming 2011/12 season, and again provide you with a season ticket and your details on our club website.

With regards to the first team kit, this cost of this is £1500. Your logo would be displayed on the front of our shirts on both the home and away kit. On the back we would display our charities logo. The first team play in the Ridgeons Premier division travelling across essex, suffolk and norfolk as well as further afield dependandt on fa cup/ fa vase runs.

We gain aprox 80 - 130 home support and have many functions and private hires of our clubhouse and football pitch. We also have a reserves, under 18's and youth sides which will all play within our broad lane stadium throughout the year and use the clubhouse.

Benefits of the kit sponsorship is you will gain a logo on the home page of the website, full page programme advert and two season tickets. At the purchasers cost, you are more than welcome to display as many banners around our pitch as you wish and this cost is negotiable.

If either of these opportunities are of interest or if you feel you can lend your support in another way, no matter how small we would love to hear from you.

Many thanks for taking the time to read this mail.
Best regards
Jonathan
