Hi All
As ive previously mentioned we are on the way to becoming a call centre. The first of the new services will be a call answering service mon to sat business hours etc...
We've been thinking long and hard about pricing are just not sure what would be a reasonable yet great value price for such a service. We ended up thinking that we may charge something like £24.95 a month...
what do you think?

What's the £24.95 based on?
There are really only two ways to price a product/service
The first is "cost plus" - whatever it costs to to provide the service, plus some for profit
The second is based on whatever the market will bear. If people ae willing to pay £99 a month and it's inline with your competitiors then it's a reasonable pricing point regardless of how much more it is than the cost to you to provide the service.
I think it would be better on a per call pricing this will give sme's flexibility rather than fixed charges. if someone wanted to switch for an instant e.g. out of office, holiday they can switch with ease. If you call service is exception and the pricing is competitive I'm sure many would use your service for all calls.

Thanks for the feedback guys...
The average seems to be around £50 per month plus about £1 per call received. I would definitly like a more flexible system that was better for all sme's and just wondered if a lower flat rate such as £24.95 would be a good selling point relying on economies of scale... or an even lower monthly charge in the region of £17.50 and then a price per call?
I want the pricing for this to represent really good value as I know that many companies charge a lot for such services....
