I have somehow found my self with a tent, and booked into the Tartan Heart Festival in August - anyone else going? It's a bit of the country that I haven't been to for a few years. And looking forward to it.
the only person you need to worry about seeing on that line up is frank turner, the man is apunk rock poet. frank turners folk is more punk than any band i've ever heard, the man is a hero he will change your life.

I think there is no one here in my friends circle to give complete information about that
shocking banter from me in party mode there
i know a few folk who've been to belladrum, never had a bad report. i'd be into seeing frank turner, roddy woomble, the xcerts, bronto skylift, guillemots :) you'll have an awesome time sandra :)

Hey, I missed out on that festival era in my youth, despite going to university less than 50 miles away from Glastonbury (in its pre-commercial days). So, kids, tent, and punk rock - sounds like its going to be an interesting weekend. Throw in the midges and rain and its definitely boiling up to be a distinctive scottish event.
Going to Doune the Rabbit Hole too next month too. :)
Hehe, I am rediscovering my missed youth.

I like most music but prefer the sort of songs you get on capital fm :D
Going to Doune the Rabbit Hole too next month too. :)
I think The Vaselines (who arguably played a major role in Nirvana's sound) would be on my list there, and make sure you check out RM Hubbert.
Good work starting the kids early!

How did Doune the Rabbit Hole go? I only heard about that one recently from friends in Stirling but couldn't make that weekend. Tartan Heart looks like being another great weekend that I'm going to miss. :(
Is anyone else going to the first Isle of Skye Blues Blues'n'Boogie Feis (http://www.skyeblues.electrictemple.co.uk/)on 22/23 July? Being a big Wilko Johnson fan, I'll be in festival heaven!
