is there anyone old enough in the factoring industry to remember how maturity factoring works?

I hate to admit it but when I started out in the industry the major players were International Factors, Credit Factoring and Griffin Factors with Alex Lawrie and H&H Factors bringing up the rear.

I remember maturity factoring but there wasn't much demand for it at the time.

I also remember when invoice discounting meant buying invoices at a discount.

I joined what was called Credit Factoring Int'l in '87 (still got the CFI Care T-shirt) & maturity factoring was the main factoring product on offer. I vaguely remember complex debtor calculations with balancing payments made on the average date, regardless of whether invoices had been paid, month end debt turn adjustments to re-calculate! May be it should be re-launched

I remember that 20 years earlier only in those days we didn't have computers and all of the calculations had to be done by hand with the help of a Brunsviga (now that really is showing my age)
