Hi,
I am considering upgrading my software (£800) to get the facility to offer discounts and 2 for 1 etc. on my site, newsletter and marketing. Would any of you be able to tell me - do you offer this type of deal to customers, do you get a good takeup, basically should I be forking out £800 to offer my customers a special offer?

£800 for special offers?! That must be one decent piece of software. As another member on here will know, I can install something like that in less than an hour. But, I won't speculate too much, as I don't know how complex the system is, which will be based on how much control you have over the discount scheme. Nothing is expensive if the ROI is significant. That's really where you will have to research to see whether the cost is worth while.

Hi,
Thank you for the reply. I used Actinic Catalog to create my site and in order to unlock the special offers feature (and a few other features, which I don't need or want), I have to upgrade to Actinic Business which will cost £800. Unfortunately, I have been told that there is no other way of setting it up with Actinic.
I realise I need to look at ROI, however, it is a lot of money out the door, and I was just wondering whether anyone who currently uses it has experienced a reasonable take up on their discount offers or not? Also is it better to be seen to offer something back even if no-one takes up your offer?
