Hello,
What do you guys think about a product "Virtual Sales Assistant Application", it's like a buyer guide application? Is this kind of application popular ?
It would be great if anybody can advise that.
Regards,
Anne

I see them appearing more and more and they are starting to get on my nerves tbh. I think it's a good idea for your site as long as no-one has seen one before - then it looks like a novelty. But people who surf quite a bit like me might just go straight to the stop button. The last site i visited before this one had one and it was in an awful accent and put me right off!

We use something similar and though one or two have not liked it the response on the whole has been really good....

Anne,
Yes my rule of thumb is always 'lowest common denominator' too many people create sites that use Java, Flash and lots of other trickery and do not consider that many people do not have these features installed. You do not want to limit your market by creating technology wise leading edge sites that people cannot view properly. Stick to the basics, hey you dont have someone guiding you round Argos or woolies jabbering in your ear so why would it work on the net?
