Hello
I'm Amanda and have recently gone self employed as a Crafts and Holistics fair organiser in November 2010. It's surprising how many arts and crafts in Stoke on Trent have contacted me for a venue to sell their wares at.
I also hand knit bespoke one off knitted designs in clothing and novelties or toys. I have been an experienced hand knitter for 38 yrs and can put my needles at almost any design idea.
My sons have recently found me a retail unit a small one to make my dream come true of a knitting paradise. The idea is a wool shop with a difference. I will be selling reclaimed yarns, hand spun yarns, reclaimed needles and buttons and patterns through the years of 1940 to present day ... along with modern yarns etc.
I have it all mapped out but am struggling to get wholesale suppliers for yarns at the right price. Two have contacted me today stating that their minimum order is £300 but in their words... "you can't afford it" . I have a limited budget but wish to sell from the shop, ebay, etsy and any where else I can sell from . Also offering knitting lessons, pattern reading etc.
Welcome to any advice for advertising, funding, suppliers etc..
Regards
Amanda
