YEM GETS ITS STRIPES
YEM – The Essential Resource for Entrepreneurs and Small Businesses – has teamed up with Stripes Solicitors, to bring its readers in-depth legal advice over the next six issues. Stripes Solicitors were so impressed by the fresh look of YEM, that they signed up for 12 months to be the Legal Experts for the North West.
YEM is a unique business magazine focused on helping small businesses to start and grow. Working closely with business support agencies such as local enterprise agencies, The Princes Trust and ABF Enterprise 4 All (formerly Asian Business Federation), YEM is able to profile local businesses at all stages of their life, creating a community of opportunity and encouraging small businesses to do business with each other, to create sustainability within the small business community.
Stripes, who are based in Manchester, have been established for 10 years and play a pivotal role in the growth and success of small businesses, providing pragmatic, practical and competitive legal advice. This approach has helped Stripes to achieve a growth of 1400%, attracting new clients and retaining existing ones.
Stephen Jarman, partner, said, “We really like the fresh feel and look of YEM. It is a great vehicle for us to tell small businesses about legal issues that affect them. We feel that this partnership will provide us with that extra exposure across the whole North West, whilst providing up-to-date legal advice to the dedicated YEM readers. We were impressed from the start with the YEM team and can see this being a long lasting relationship.”
Stripes aim to offer a full all round legal service and will advise readers on the legal matters that affect their businesses. The first of the six features will appear in YEM07, out on 1st August.
Sam Fletcher, Editor, said, “It’s fantastic that Stripes want to work with YEM. It reinforces the fact that YEM is a business resource for entrepreneurs and small businesses. We work with the experts, to bring our readers relevant advice and support. It’s especially important to small businesses that they understand what legal matters affect them, especially as they grow, and the Stripes partnership will assist them to find out further about what they need to be doing.”
The magazine has received fantastic feedback, from subscribers, advertisers and those that have featured in the magazine. The team successfully managed, after only 4 months, to gain interviews with high profile entrepreneurs such as Rachel Elnaugh, Duncan Bannatyne and Leila Wilcox. Leila, who won C4’s ‘Make Me A Million’ said, “What a fab business magazine. YEM is a really interesting read and something completely different!”
Lucy Hamlin, Communications Manager for Redwelly Media, the creative design agency behind the publication said, “We are passionate about promoting local businesses and helping them to succeed. The partnership with Stripes just emphasises that. The future for YEM looks very bright. We will redefine what a magazine can achieve, hosting networking events and helping our subscribers to be successful.”
