Silly question..........

I have just put a new hard drive in one of my machines and when i installed xp i partitioned the drive to have 1 partition as 10gb with the remainder as a separate partition. Now it is up and running it is only telling me the drive size is 10gb, what do i need to do to get it to recoginse the other partition.

have you formatted it and given a drive Mapping?

If you go to manager your computer, select the disk manager you should be able to see your remaining space etc. in there. Then as prox says it's just a question of creating / mapping the drive and formatting it.

Just to add a bit oincase you dont know where comp management is, right click "my computer" then "manage" then disk manager, you will see the unalocated space, right click, create partition and follow the wizard
