Hi folks

I'm new to the forum and I'm looking to start a business in sunny Bridgend, I'm also new to the area so I'm looking to try and develope any key contacts that I can build relationships up with, to support and work with my new business venture. I can't say to much yet but I'm very excited by the project!

So if you would like to introduce yourselves feel free! It would be great to see what skills are available in the local area.

Morning Lee,

Welcome to UKBF. There isn't a massive Welsh presence on here but its growing!

If you need any assistance with your web presence or IT systems then we are your men. Based in the Vale of Glamorgan we can be with you in half an hour in Bridgend!

I can recommend the local networking scene aswell, its very active. 4Networking and BNI are in use by us so if you need an introduction to either of them let me know.

All the best and if you are passing through the vale, pop in for a drink.

Jim

Hi All, IMO ANY new business needs to network - but especially those based in Wales where people really want to know the people they work with...

2 reasons why my biz has continued (and thereby bucked the trend in my profession)...

1 - networking

2 - UKBF

you've taken the 1st step - congrats... take the 2nd...

Hi, I am in North Wales and run a guest house in southern Snowdonia. Doesn't seem to be much in the way of people on here from this area, or indeed in this trade...
Happy to join in and try to promote Wales on here......any ideas??

There seems to be a proliferation towards Groupon at the moment in your industry...... I would look to their costs to see if it would be beneficial for you to advertise with them!

You certainly have your B & B in one of the most beautiful parts of our fair land and this would be a big draw for the city dwelling folks.

Good Luck

Hi, lucky you living in that great part of our country. I was wondering as you have any land and parking facilities. Because if you have, us biker's are always looking for overnight stops and weekend retreats. Become biker friendly and word of mouth will keep you going. please note for the record that big hairy biker types are solicitor's/doctors/accountants etc during the week. put yourself on the map with a big "Biker's Welcome" sign on the side of the road.
And if you have a piece of land for overnight camping as well even better.
