Hi - new to the forum and new to the West Midlands so hello to all.
I wonder if anyone is able to put me in touch with local charity forums/groups? I've posted a request in the charity forum but I thought I'd ask here as well.
My agency works with charities and not-for-profits (ActionAid, AMREF, ChildLine, WWF etc) and I'm hoping to build up some local contacts. We're regular contributors to various charity web forums but I wanted to find something closer to home.
Any pointers welcome. Thanks!
p.s. I'd also be interested in hearing for other agencies, freelancers etc.

I just love the bit about "if your calling before 6.00 leave a message"
btw, your site doesnt display the required trading status and contact details that I could see.

Pleased to hear you love that bit.. although not entirely sure why  Welcome to the new age of business :)
Also my principal place of business is listed as required, again not sure why that's of interest either.

I think my learned colleague's point was that it is unusual (but not unheard of) for people to call a business before six so it seemed a little odd.
As for the comment about correct trading status, your website should display certain details at the bottom of every page for example if you are a limited company, what your company number is etc. For example at the bottom of this page you will find
©2003-2011 UK Business Forums (http://www.ukbusinessforums.co.uk/forums/../) | A trading division of Sift Media | Registered in England & Wales No. 05417373
The copyright is not necessary, but your company number is required if you are an LTD. For a sole trader your name and address are sufficient. Without this you are breaking certain laws.

Thanks. Although I am adhering to the UK Companies Act Law that states each website should state the following on its website :
- its name;
- its company registration number
- its place of registration & registered office address.
It is not stated this should be on every page or in the footer. This is just good practice
It is however stated it should be in every email footer (which I have) and 'on the website' which I also have.

Where can I easily find this information on your website?

This now just seems to have turned into an ongoing argument in order for you to at least scrape something back from your false statement?
If you were fully aware of the laws you would have known it does not need to be in the footer of every page.
The reason my address is not in the footer of every page (which is best practice.. not law) is because currently I am trading from my home address which a) looks unprofessional and b) not wise having home address advertised all over the web. (Especially when people appear obsessed in finding it out)
It is there, and it is easily findable, and it is adhering to UK Companys Act Law (even the slightly altered ones that came in after 2007).
Although not entirely sure why I should have to point these things out? Especially in somebody else's thread now hijacked.

Again in plain terms, where on your website can I easily find your company registration number, registered address and place of registration (e.g. England & Wales)?

This obsession with me and thread Hijacking is getting a little disturbing now. Please refer to my previous post!?
But just to humour things.. try clicking on Terms and Conditions on the bottom of EVERY page. Or on the 'Company Info & Terms' link on the Contact Us page. Or the information link on the hosting page... I could carry on listing if you like?

So finally we have concluded that there is nowhere on your website where one can EASILY find the required details? Was it really that hard? Did it really require all these back and forth posts? Did you really need to get on the nerves of a member who was originally chastising saxondale for giving you a hard time?
My word you must be a nightmare to deal with as a customer.

Haha seriously? Yes... I'm the one getting on nerves and going on about something pointless. lol.
I guess some people just find things easier to find than others, especially when being proven wrong is effecting judgement.
I think the post speaks for itself.
